Bushfire evacuees enjoyed a short stay at Goodwin

In true community spirit, Goodwin welcomed with open arms bushfire evacuees from aged care facilities in Bega and Tumut. They stayed with us for two weeks at David Harper House, Monash.

With the fires now under control, it was time for them to head back home. Even though they were here a short time, we will miss them. We farewelled them with a small gift and a card signed by the team at Monash.

‘It was a privilege to have them here and I’m glad we were able to help out even if it was just in a small way’, said Susan Smith, Goodwin’s Director of Nursing.
