How to apply?
We’ll explain the Australian home care system and how to make it work for you, listen to your needs, and help you with the government process and forms to apply for funding for your care.

Because home care packages are government subsidised, the level of funding you get depends on an assessment by the government’s Aged Care Assessment Team (an ACAT assessment). It’s free and conducted in your home or hospital. Goodwin can help you arrange this.
Await your letter of approval
You will receive a letter from My Aged Care (the government’s aged care portal) confirming if you are eligible for a home care package and to what level of care and funding. You will be placed on a national priority queue and be contacted when a suitable package becomes available to you. While you are waiting for approval, you can access Goodwin services on a private fee-for-service basis.
Receive a referral code
When your package is allocated to you, you will receive another letter from My Aged Care, with details of your home care package and your unique referral code.
Start accessing home care services
You will have 56 days to take up your package with your chosen care provider, from the date of the above letter. In this period, come back to Goodwin so we can get to work on your tailored care plan, ensure your care budget is working its best for you, and start delivering your services.
