Goodwin is proud to be among the first organisations industry-wide to comply with the Retirement Living Code of Conduct. Developed by peak bodies Retirement Living Council (RLC) and Leading Aged Services Australia (LASA), the Code of Conduct is designed to help current and future retirement living residents dissect and understand complex information about retirement living, their rights and responsibilities, and to outline a formal process of complaints.
From an organisational perspective, it allows us to formally communicate our commitment to transparency, accountability, and continual improvement.
Erik Boddeus, Executive Manager Retirement Living said, ‘Complying with the Code has been a great experience not just for the Goodwin Retirement Living team but for the organisation as a whole. It’s allowed for people in different roles throughout the organisation to engage with, and understand, the issues that the Code addresses’.
‘Fine-tuning our policies and procedures to ensure that they are more strongly focused on our residents has really helped to improve internal communication, as well as communication with our residents, and we’re stronger for it’, said Erik.
The Code can be viewed and downloaded below and copies are available at reception. For more information, speak to your Village Manager or call 02 6175 5100.
