A New Home for Queanbeyan Day Club

09/02/2024

Queanbeyan Day Club recently hosted a jubilant celebration to mark the launch of its eagerly awaited relocation.

The new space, nestled on a main road has been renovated to include purpose-built amenities and promises convenience in a vibrant and accessible setting.

Clients from all three Day Clubs gathered to celebrate the relocation of the well-loved seniors’ club, enjoying good conversation and delectable food with fellow clients, staff and board members.

The ceremonial opening of the space was entrusted to Ina, the very first member of Queanbeyan Day Club, which opened 10 years ago.

‘I enjoy every aspect of the club and I’ve made lots of friendships over the years,’ said Ina. ‘I’m honoured to open the space to the public and look forward to the location becoming a new home for the club.’

CEO Stephen Homes extended congratulations to clients on this exciting transition, acknowledging the dedicated staff who played a pivotal role in making the relocation possible.

Queanbeyan Day Club Coordinator Jacoba Czoban echoed this sentiment, stating everyone has been thrilled by the much-anticipated location change.

‘The space is so big and spacious, everyone loves it! People from the public have come in to enquire who we are because they can hear all the fun we’ve been having in our new home.’

For John, a dedicated patron of the club for 9 years, the relocation has come with plenty of anticipation and excitement. ‘I look forward to the bus pulling into the driveway. I know it means we have a new, beautiful place to enjoy our morning teas and group activities.’

The club is excited to welcome new members and encourages those interested to drop by the new location or call (02) 6175 5650 to learn more.
