We’re proud to announce that Goodwin is the primary sponsor of ACT Seniors Week 2017.
ACT Seniors Week celebrates older people and the journey of ageing. To do so, the Council on the Ageing (COTA) compiles a program of around 100 events held across the city by government, community and commercial organisations, all with a view to:
- encouraging older people to live healthy and active lifestyles all year round
- demonstrate that older age can be a time of learning and adventure, and
- celebrate older people and their continuing contribution to family, friends, workplaces and communities, and across generations.
“Goodwin is proud to be associated with such a positive event,” said Chief Executive Officer, Sue Levy. “In Goodwin’s long history, we have come to deeply appreciate that the journey through ageing is a very individual one; that can also span 30 years or more from retirement age; and that can be filled with experiences and achievements. Seniors Week helps people to explore the opportunities and services available.”
ACT Seniors Week runs from March 18 to 26, with a one-day Seniors Week Expo at Exhibition Park Canberra on Thursday, March 23. Watch this space for events across Goodwin and the ACT. The program will also be published in The Chronicle and at www.cotaact.org.au.
