Join the fun in NSW Seniors Week (April 4-15)

“Let’s do more together” is the theme of this years NSW Seniors festival, now in its 60th year. Celebrate between 4-15 April with hundreds of events happening all over NSW for you or your family to take part in. Tell your loved ones about the events as they give seniors the opportunity to remain active and engaged in the broader community.

If you’re in Sydney on April 5 or 6 why not enjoy the free Seniors Expo at the Sydney International Convention Centre. There will be live entertainment, food and beverages, games and giveaways, a silk painting workshop, and more. Also on April 5 and 6 are the free Premier’s Gala Concerts (bookings essential), with special guest Ray Martin and some great acts including, David Campbell, Marcia Hines, Emma Pask,  Darren Coggan and more.  If you’re still in Sydney on April 11 why not head to the NSW Seniors Comedy festival hosted by Jean Kitson with great comedy acts including Gary Elk, Peter Berner, Tommy Dean, Chris Radburn, Peter Mersel and James Smith. Goodwin will be celebrating NSW Seniors Week with free fitness classes for people over 65 at Queanbeyan Day Club on 5,10 and 12 April. Come and join the fun with like-minded people, classes start at 9.15am, 138 Monaro Street, Queanbeyan. All the exercises are tailored to individual requirements and are directed by Goodwin’s physiotherapist.

So no excuses not to join the celebrations during NSW Seniors Week. Let’s honour the role seniors play and the contributions they make to our communities by having fun during 4-15 April.
