As we settle into the new year, Goodwin is proud to celebrate the exceptional staff members who defined our culture of care in 2025. The annual CEO Awards recognise those who consistently go above and beyond, ensuring Goodwin remains a leader in quality seniors’ living and care.

Throughout last year, 21 employees were recognised as quarterly winners of the Award for Excellence. From this outstanding group, six individuals have been selected for their significant impact across the organisation, embodying the values that our residents, clients, and families trust.

Meet the winners

Annual Award for Encouragement: Tilly Bean, Carer

Tilly’s dedication, adaptability and strong team spirit made her a standout at Monash throughout 2025.

Known for her adaptability, Tilly moved seamlessly between providing compassionate frontline care and supporting administrative operations. Her proactive approach and work ethic embody the excellence we strive for at Goodwin.

Annual Award for Social Responsibility: Alison Tolley, Day Club Officer

Alison has been recognised for her outstanding creativity, initiative and dedication to enhancing engagement at Crace Day Club.

Her “Around the World” recreational activities; complete with culturally inspired travel bingo and decorations, have significantly enriched the Day Club experience for our clients.

Annual Award for Innovation: Anita Godley, Resident Services Coordinator

Anita is recognised for her excellence in customer service, efficiency and commitment to continuous improvement.

From helping with resident onboarding and exits, unit refurbishments, reintroducing new resident morning teas and supporting system transitions, Anita has played a key role in ensuring every resident feels at home from day one.

Annual Award for Care: Leonie Smith, Home Care Support Worker

Leonie has been recognised for her exceptional care, encouragement, and unwavering dedication to her clients.

Known for her professionalism, knowledge, and genuine compassion, Leonie is a trusted mentor and compassionate carer.

Leonie’s kindness and professionalism continue to be a benchmark for our Home Care services.

Annual Award for Care: Brett Lane, Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator

Brett has been recognised for his strong commitment to Goodwin’s values, creativity, and leadership.

Since stepping into the Coordinator role, he has delivered meaningful and engaging activities aligned with residents’ preferences and evolving care standards. His collaborative approach, positive attitude, and ability to foster inclusion and participation have greatly strengthened the community at The Glen.

Annual Award for Excellence: Craig O’Rourke, Property Project Manager

Craig has been recognised for consistently demonstrating the highest standards of professionalism, dedication, and integrity.

He goes above and beyond in delivering high-quality outcomes across projects that directly enhance the experience and wellbeing of both staff and residents. A trusted and collaborative team member, Craig brings expertise, reliability, and a strong commitment to getting things right the first time.

Special Recognition: Goodwin Marketing Team

The 2025 awards also spotlight the power of collaboration, recognising Elna Jennings, Bahara Sanaee, and Ross Buchanan of our Marketing Team.

Together, they delivered an exceptional 2025 Memory Walk & Jog, an event which strengthened Goodwin’s brand and forged deeper connections between our staff and the wider community. Their creativity and mutual support reflect what is possible when teams work together with purpose and pride.
