Appointment of Goodwin’s Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Directors and Chair Liesel Wett have the pleasure of announcing the appointment of Mr Stephen Holmes as the new Chief Executive Officer of Goodwin Aged Care Services.

Since joining Goodwin in 2014 in his previous role as Chief Operating Officer, Steve has led the organisation delivering on corporate strategy. His depth of knowledge in the aged care industry and leadership ability will strengthen the organisations vision of providing the highest quality aged care services and accommodation.

Over the next 5 years the organisation and the aged care industry will embark on implementing reforms arising from recommendations made by the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. In doing so, providing quality care and accommodation will remain the number one priority of Goodwin. Goodwin has diversified service delivery and is offering an expanded suite of services to our clients and residents. However, there is more we need to do and keep doing to maintain a high standard of care for our residents and clients.

The coming years will see further growth in the provision of additional services and accommodation to Canberra and the region’s ageing population and further enhance Goodwin’s reputation of being a leading provider of retirement living and care services.

Delivery of quality services is dependent on having a skilled, motivated and caring workforce. With the well-publicised workforce challenges facing businesses at present, continued development of a clear strategy towards ensuring Goodwin attracts and retains a skilled workforce will ensure Goodwin meets our resident and client needs now and in the future.

The future for Goodwin is especially bright and planned investments in our staff, facilities and business systems will continue to ensure fantastic service for clients and residents in the years ahead.

With Steve leading the organisation we have full confidence in the next phase of the development and care delivery. Steve’s experience will assist Goodwin in building on its long history of innovation and provision of services.
