A Christmas message from Goodwin CEO

19/12/2017

Dear staff, volunteers, and residents,

I can’t believe the end of the year is already here!

I would like to thank all Goodwin employees, volunteers, residents and clients for working so hard and achieving such success in what has been a challenging year for the aged care and retirement living industries.

I would especially like to acknowledge the Goodwin executive team and staff who have handled with professionalism and excellence the difficulties of assisting us to comply with new regulatory frameworks and industry reforms, particularly in the areas of residential and home care. We have also had a busy year with redevelopment and look forward to continuing to provide quality aged care to a growing number of seniors in the ACT well into the future.

It is your dedication as a Goodwin employee and volunteer that give Goodwin a reputation as a provider of high quality aged care services, and I thank you all for your continued commitment and great work throughout the year. It is your work that makes the difference to residents and clients lives daily. Your positivity, expertise, creativity and initiative allow Goodwin to continually improve on how we meet the needs of our residents and clients.

To all our residents, it is fantastic to see the development of such close communities, making them happy and vibrant places to live in. These communities, connections and friendships are particularly important in bringing comfort and support and often provide improvement in the overall quality of life, in particular the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our seniors.

I would like to extend a special thank you to each of the resident and social committee members across our villages who dedicate their time to improve the communities they live in. A big thank you to those residents who have worked tirelessly to raise funds for charities this Christmas and throughout the year.

I am sure 2018 will hold many challenges for the Goodwin team but I have great trust that as in 2017 those challenges will be overcome with the continued dedication and commitment shown to increase professional requirements and provide ongoing excellence in service delivery.

On behalf of the executive team, I wish everyone a merry Christmas and a prosperous and happy new year. Have a great and well-deserved break, enjoy the summer holidays and time spent with your loved ones.

Best wishes,

Sue Levy
Chief Executive Officer
