We are saddened to learn of the passing of former Director Professor Gabrielle Cooper, OAM on April 23, 2025. Professor Cooper was a passionate advocate for seniors and demonstrated an unyielding commitment to the pharmacy profession over many decades. Professor Cooper served Goodwin and its residents and clients from March 2017 to February 2022 through membership of our Care and Clinical Governance Committee and our Board.
Professor Cooper’s contribution and dedication to Goodwin and the pharmacy profession was invaluable and will be remembered, leaving a substantial legacy. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and colleagues as we come together to mourn her loss.
Professor Cooper’s funeral will be held at 2.00 pm on 1 May 2025 at St Christopher’s Cathedral in Canberra. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s Australia would be greatly appreciated. ... See MoreSee Less

At Goodwin, we are honoured to pay tribute to those who have served our nation.
Many of our residents have worn the uniform, stood in service, and made sacrifices for our country, and their stories continue to inspire us every day.
On Friday, we were proud to come together across our sites to commemorate #ANZACDay. It was a moving day of remembrance, with residents sharing personal stories of service, courage and laying wreaths, including a beautiful one made by our talented resident Joan.
It is a privilege to stand alongside them, to listen, to reflect, and to honour their incredible contributions.
