Caring for an older relative or friend can be rewarding, but there are times when a carer needs a break. Sometimes a carer needs someone to look after their loved one while they are away or have other obligations that don't allow them to give their full attention to the person in need.

Goodwin offers respite care services that allow people living in the community to enter our aged care facilities for a short period of time. This service is usually coordinated through Carers ACT and is generally planned in advance. Emergency respite can sometimes be provided if available.
