Apprenticeships combine training and employment resulting in a nationally recognised qualification. They are available to anyone of working age and do not require entry qualifications. Occasional opportunities available.
Australian school based apprenticeships are available to young persons who are undertaking a traineeship part-time while still attending school or college. Candidates must be enrolled in a program leading to a senior secondary certificate.
Certificate II qualifications require a minimum of 8 hours in the workplace and 3 hours of job training per week.
Certificate III qualifications require a greater commitment and call for further work and study after the completion of Year 12.
